This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use Callbreaker (callbreaker.com), a web app that simulates fake incoming calls and notifications, and how that information is used.
Callbreaker is operated from France. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected] or via our contact form.
The microphone is only accessed while you are actively recording, and only after your browser asks for your permission. You can revoke that permission at any time in your browser settings.
We display ads through Google AdSense to keep Callbreaker free. To serve ads, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies and may process data such as your approximate location, device information and browsing activity, in order to show ads (personalized or non-personalized).
We use Google Analytics 4 (and a secondary visit-measurement tool) to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set after you consent. Analytics data is used to improve the product, not to identify you personally.
If you write to us through the contact form, we receive the email address and message you provide, solely to reply to you. We do not use it for marketing.
If you buy Premium, the payment is processed by Stripe (Stripe, Inc.). We never see or store your card details. Stripe shares with us the minimum needed to deliver the purchase: payment status, plan, and the email address attached to the payment. If you use the "restore my purchase" feature, we look up that email in our Stripe account and send a reactivation link to it — the address is not stored outside Stripe and is not used for marketing. See Stripe's privacy policy.
The optional "AI voice" feature sends the short line of text you type to ElevenLabs (text-to-speech) through our server to generate the audio. The generated MP3 is cached on our server (keyed by a hash of the text, not by you) so the same line is never billed twice; cached files contain no personal identifier and may be kept as long as the feature exists. Do not include personal data in the text you ask the voice to say. See ElevenLabs' privacy policy.
Callbreaker uses cookies and similar technologies for advertising and analytics as described above. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a consent banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies before they are set, and you can change your choice at any time. Essential storage needed for the app to work (such as remembering your preferences locally) does not require consent.
Callbreaker is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Depending on where you live (in particular under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we process about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies (Google AdSense) may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time: use the choices offered by our consent banner, manage your preferences at adssettings.google.com, or email us at [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest version.
