Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use Callbreaker (callbreaker.com), a web app that simulates fake incoming calls and notifications, and how that information is used.

1. Who we are

Callbreaker is operated from France. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at callbreakerapp@gmail.com or via our contact form.

2. Voice recordings stay on your device

We never receive your recordings. If you use the voice recorder, the audio is captured through your browser's microphone and stored locally on your device only (in your browser's IndexedDB storage). It is never uploaded to our servers and we have no access to it. Clearing your browser data, or deleting a recording in the app, removes it permanently.

The microphone is only accessed while you are actively recording, and only after your browser asks for your permission. You can revoke that permission at any time in your browser settings.

3. Advertising — Google AdSense

We display ads through Google AdSense to keep Callbreaker free. To serve ads, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies and may process data such as your approximate location, device information and browsing activity, in order to show ads (personalized or non-personalized).

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (and a secondary visit-measurement tool) to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set after you consent. Analytics data is used to improve the product, not to identify you personally.

5. The contact form

If you write to us through the contact form, we receive the email address and message you provide, solely to reply to you. We do not use it for marketing.

6. Cookies & consent

Callbreaker uses cookies and similar technologies for advertising and analytics as described above. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a consent banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies before they are set, and you can change your choice at any time. Essential storage needed for the app to work (such as remembering your preferences locally) does not require consent.

7. Children

Callbreaker is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (in particular under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact callbreakerapp@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

9. Your US privacy rights (California & other states)

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we process about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies (Google AdSense) may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time: use the choices offered by our consent banner, manage your preferences at adssettings.google.com, or email us at callbreakerapp@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest version.
